    I think about two years ago or so I expressed disbelief when a poster predicted the West and liberal internationalism would collapse in 2-5 years. I thought that things seemed much more stable, that there would likely be several decades of decline without a distinct collapse.

    But now, between this shit, the multiple crises in Europe, the UK; Iran; and Saudi Arabia betraying the West, I’m starting to feel I was wrong. Like, maybe come next spring the world could look very different.

      In fairness, these predictions come with about the same frequency as the "China To Collapse in 47 Days!" YouTube videos.

      Like, maybe come next spring the world could look very different.

      I wouldn't hold my breath. We're talking about a reversion to the pre-Lawrence-v-Texas mean, with a privatized police corps chaser. So much of what's happening in America isn't a deviation from domestic practices but a return to normalcy.
