amazing where TYT crowd is these days. Jordan got metoo'd for iirc inviting a co-worker into a hot tub(?), Chunk is a union buster, Jimmy Dore went antivax... and I think Ana said some heinous landlord-type shit about homeless people but I can't remember
The nepotism nephew who occasionally makes funny takes, ehhh he's alright
they've been fear mongering about bail reform lately. they were never good but they've gotten worse. Cenk and Anna will just be mainstream boomer news like Anderson Cooper and Rachel Maddow in a few years. In fact, they already are. My ex-Republican liberal aunt watches TYT
TYT is so reactionary on the issue of bail reform Citations Needed did a news brief on it
I haven't watched, let alone donate, to TYT in years...but I do think at one point they and Cenk were pretty good gateways for people stepped in anarcho capitalist bullshit who might be having the spark of doubt in them.
Not saying they still are but still....they definitely helped get me here so I've always had a soft spot for them.
This is how I feel whenever I see Sam Seder these days.
His show sucks hard now and probably still sucked back then (albeit less) but I have a soft spot for him
Yeah, absolutely. Also I haven't been able to enjoy Sam Seder in years if only because I only feel pain at how badly I miss comrade Brooks.
Jimmy Dore going from spitting on Alex Jones to being diet Alex Jones is a little ironic.
Ana also has been going on some "California is letting violent criminals run rampant" train lately.
you know he's ancient when the wojak that's supposed to be portraying an ancient chomsky looks younger than him lmao
:citations-needed: citations needed did an excellent takedown of TYT doing FOX news level fear mongering about bail reform
Come sail away, come sail away, come sail away with me!

Edit: fuck it i'll ask, anyone know some particularly choice works that are on RedSails? I just got turned on to the site a few days ago, and there is a LOT on there. I do enjoy this author's essay on Orwell, great takedown, but beyond that I don't know what is good there.
Roderic Day stuff:
-
Why Marxism? is probably my favorite
-
"Brainwashing" and followup Masses, Elites, and Rebels: The Theory of “Brainwashing”
-
Really Existing Fascism great stuff on Nietzsche vs. Marx here
Also:
-
A Critical Read of Animal Farm by Jones Manoel
-
Western Marxism, the Fetish for Defeat, and Christian Culture by Jones Manoel
-
Water Droplets Drilling Through Rock (1990) by Xi Jinping
-
“Democracy is not an ornament” (2021) by Xi Jinping
Honestly, I'm thinking about trying to contribute something to the site. I don't twitter and thus can't reach out to anyone there, but do you think they're open to submissions from a random person?

The poor Caretaker, I fear his long-standing duties here have ...affected him.
Is there a source on this? That's really sad if true, but I hadn't heard about it. I'd only seen the picture of him drinking a beer in his backyard.
IDK the source but it's known. People talked about it when some socialists visited him a few months ago. His son said they caught him on a good day and he was very happy to see them.
cold take but in a society that enabled family care of the elderly, mental degeneration wouldn't be nearly as terrifying a prospect. you get old, you lose your mind, it happens, and we should be okay with it.
Ana was definitely getting better hanging out with Michael brooks. RIP
I really hope the 21st century Chomsky and Baldwin aren't Twitch streamers. Ben Shapiro is probably the next William Buckley, just too transphobic to use the Trans-Atlantic accent.
