Read something like this last year, except I swear there was an app that pushed you to go out and talk to strangers more. I really keep to myself in public spaces and need help to change that. Anybody remember this or am I making it up?

Maybe it’s just me but I feel like letting Silicon Valley train you into the Pavlov’s dog of human interaction isn’t necessary or ideal.

You can do it I believe in you.

Thanks but I know myself better than you do.

e: I'm sorry for the angry response but this is how I feel reading what you wrote. "Just suck it up and do it bro" is bad advice to a question I wasn't asking. Please, shame me for using tools to start good habits. You don't need a planner to remember what chores to do. If you want to stop smoking just quit.

Also, gamification isn't pavlovian conditioning and I think this app was made by a sociology lab.

goosechase I found it via a sociology study called "Talking to Strangers" so I'm pretty sure this is what you're looking for.

After signing up and checking it out for like 5 minutes, it looks like you set up your own agenda and it gives you a little over 50 premade 'missions' to choose from (although quite a bit of them seem to be group oriented, so that's probably not as helpful). Honestly kinda cool and I could see myself using this.
