It's the white Christian persecution complex. Everyone wants to be a martyr but wants to do it in the most milquetoast way possible.

If you're gonna do this, do it at night and in black bloc attire and scatter when you hear sirens. Being able to do direct action more than once is more important than being seen while you're doing it.

Doing crime and getting away with doing crime delegitimizes the police as well. This is why I'm extremely suspicious of praxis that doesn't include ways of evading the pigs.

It worked when the Civil Rights protestors stuffed the jails and refused to leave, but the Fash adapted and built jails too big to stuff.

It did not work. What worked was the local communities functionally shutting down in protest over their incarcerated comrades.

And we use the term "worked" extremely loosely. The Civil Rights Acts of the 60s were paper promises that got shredded before the decade was out. Much like the old Indian Treaties of the 18th and 19th centuries, these measures simply bought liberals time to reconsolidate their forces and reposition their artillery. Reagan walked into office atop a field of dead civil rights leaders.
