Twitter will be forming a content moderation council with widely diverse viewpoints. No major content decisions or account reinstatements will happen before that council convenes.— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) October 28, 2022
Tribel Social is openly recruiting users directly off Twitter for the past 20 hours. Reminds me when Digg stories eventually just became a few comments about moving to Reddit.
I don't remember, I just remember that Reddit was a completely shitshow for months because of clashing cultures and norms. Did they ban porn or something?

Digg went from having millions to 10k's of thousands of users per day in less than 6 months. Let's see how fast Musk can burn $44 billion. Digg was valued at $200 million in 2010 and sold for ~$500k in 2014.
I signed up, but not verification code isn't showing up in my email :deeper-sadness:
What was the reason for the mass exodus? I was never on Digg but I vaguely remember they did a redesign. Was that what set it off?
Sellout. The new owners fucked it up and when people complained, they were told "If you don't like it stop using it."
So, they did.

Digg did a massive UI change :chomsky-yes-honey:
