      Not trying to minimize how much money that is but 150k a year for a twitch streamer is far less money than it is when someone makes that much money as salary from some random corporation. You pay like 2x as much in taxes when you're a contractor. 75k a year to live off of still means you can't afford a home in a few of the major metros.

          Sure, but people have families and shit they want to be near. Also forgot to add that a twitch streamer is likely on their own for health insurance so that's an additional 15k a year if you want any sort of decent plan from the 75k portion of that money.

          The fucked up thing about all this though is that among young people, the only way to ever afford a home in a major metro is to be within that top 2% of income for your age group.
