"same I just ordered a steering wheel for my PC, have prime says arriving today by 10 pm. says it's in a nearby city but not out for delivery. package arrived at the facility at 4:48 am but was not out for delivery. contacted support & they wanted to give me a refund, $5-$10" a joke" then kept saying it could be delayed by human error technical error or by weather but couldn't tell me why it wasn't out for delivery"

i hate next-day shipping and package tracking and all this shit. theoretically good for things people need but all its ended up doing is heightening the margins on workers to a ridiculous degree. we deserved 1-2 week paid shipping for our dumbass online purchases

Next day shipping should only be allowed for items of importance, not for toys. Food, medications, toiletries. I could even see an argument made for like regular computers and peripherals. But toys and treats? Probably not.

There are quite a lot of treatums on Amazon that can get delivered 3 hours after you make the order :grillman:

I still only ship things by the cheapest/freest option and get pleasantly surprised when it finally arrives. Frankly it's better than winding yourself up obsessively tracking your packages.

The only time I care about tracking is when I order medication. Everything else I just check and give a nasal exhale when I see it not move for several days

Amazon always tells me I could pay to get something a day early or get Prime to get it even sooner but I always go with free shipping and it usually shows up early anyway.

I can only imagine this person was typing this from their high chair after flipping their bowl of dry cheerios all over the table.

I remember ordering lego by mail and waiting 2+ weeks for it to arrive since I lived in the middle of nowhere. No way to track it anyway, I'd just volunteer to check the mail around the 2 week mark and be excited when it showed up

        That takes me back.

Cereal box promotional toys used to request like 8-10 weeks for delivery.

It felt like a tiny little Christmas to wait for them. Not in a bad way.

If you don't fire 20 workers and give me a five page apology for my treat being delayed by one (1) day I will start murdering people

      hipster-y, faux-progressive, bourgeois attitudes

"Sane" leftists are all about legal weed and free college (but usually only for productive majors that make treats) and anything else is too far! :funny-clown-hammer:

Treatbrained capital-G G!mers are some of the worst consumers. They're the ones that openly acknowledge abusive worker conditions and state shamelessly that they don't care as long as the treat comes out on time. :scared-fash:

These wheels cost like $400 for an "entry level" one, too. I'd like one to play stupid car games with, but uhhh that's too damn much money.
