I feel like John Quincy Adams should get some points for being against slavery, and defending the Amistad rebels in court. His worst crime is being generally ineffectual, which makes him far less harmful than a lot of those guys. He certainly shouldn't be on the same level as George W Bush, who is far too high up there.
yeah i mean maybe we're weighing nose hairs but i don't see how dubya isn't at the bottom with all the other demons. oversaw one of america's regular fascist freakouts, created the War on Terror, decimated civil liberties, emboldened the evangelical right, kneecapped the education system while giving handouts to the ruling class that led to a financial crisis, killed a million Iraqis, and he still has the gall to joke about it today.
