My cat makes her ears go back really often, and I find it incredibly funny that my little brother calls it "airplane mode"
When my dog puts her ears all the way back I call it "Going full Kermit".
That's awesome, the f-14 is called a tomcat and it has wings that move back. the cat moving its ears back is like a plane that moves its wings back and is named after a cat.
