I think lots of us do. What are some tips for posting more from our power users ✍️
If somebody responds with something well thought out and you only do an emoji, to the OP your only thought is "oh boy! 2 comments!" Not that the second one was subpar. You little piggy bears just like the attention
Half the people in this thread saying they’re not power posters: I recognize your usernames so I have news for you
I am the proudest most powerful poster around, beware the divine destruction my posts will bring
I carefully craft each of my comments to be dangerously close to breaking multiple rules with implausible undeniability.
I've said it elsewhere but the "always be posting" culture of the old subreddit was very healthy for it. We towered over subreddits of similar size (and larger in many cases) in activity. Anyway I guess I'm saying one thing you can post is posts about posting, just like I'm doing here. Eventually you out someone else will generate something more interesting.
If you have a thought, just type it out and press post before you have time to regret it
Almost all of my top posts/comments were my lowest-effort ones
Not a power user but I think it comes down to goofing off on hexbear throughout the day and posting whatever's on your mind, not giving a fuck about replies, and having only correct takes. If you only have correct takes then no one can fuck with you. How does one develop the correct takes? By reading theory.
Answer: read theory.
Where do correct posts come from? Do they drop from Twitter? No. Are they innate in the poster? No. They come from posting practice, and from it alone :very-smart:
who the fuck is scraeming "POST MORE" at my house. show yourself, coward. i will never post
Remembering that half of the legendary posts here are entirely incomprehensible unhinged rants really lowers the bar
Looking in the mirror and telling ourselves we have to get more unhinged
I make my best posts about 15 minutes after the adderall kicks in, and it's always a single run-on sentence spanning five paragraphs that showcases how many different forms of punctuation can be used for combining loosely-related clauses
yeah exactly you get it, sometimes you have thoughts — they interrupt other thoughts sometimes (and sometimes thoughts come with bonus content)
The most important rule is Just Post. If you've never had a post or comment removed it means you haven't been posting enough.
I had a post in the early days of the site that got removed but it was so good that the mods put it back
Hope to be a power user: think of being the most annoying version of yourself possible and do that “as a bit” on this obscure website for the next 10 years.
I am not a power poster but I find my most popular post involve one of two things
- Don't think, Post.
- Post photos of your cute pets
Been meaning to post a very cute picture of my cat, think it will do very well and give me many serotonin bumps.
