Adblockers are a must with those sites, but also if you search for torrents using QBittorrent you don't have to visit them at all.

Yeah, a lot of the internet is a mess without adblocking. It’s honestly impressive how trash some sites look.

I use a VM to do any pirate stuff. It complicates things forensically and fuck the feds with a cactus.

If I get anything bad on the VM, I can just revert to a snapshot.

Furthermore, I dump everything in an encrypted NAS. Make everything as difficult for law enforcement as possible. I have it all pretty seamless on my actual set up. My bare metal machine never touches the underworld. I don't even come here in my PC.

I used to use ghostery but something compelled me to stop several years ago.

It tracks what ads get blocked and sells that data to advertisers. Ublock origin completely supersedes it.

My setup is Firefox with Ghostery, Privacy Badger, uBlock Origin , and NoScript Security Suit (and Bypass Paywalls Clean, usefull but not security related)

could you explain, as if I'm a kid, what each of these things do?

the only one I use is uBlock, and I just think of it as "adblocker"
