Um acktually although it's not explored much, the latter half of the 20th century in the Fallout timeline was generally one of comparative peace and progress with things going to shit in the 21st century so there's no real reason an alternate civil rights or feminist movement couldn't have existed - even if they probably would have looked different from those movements in our timeline. Preston is affable but people grow to dislike him since he gives the annoying radiant quests that are very hard to get rid of
Last time I looked there were mods to disable the radiant quests.

Brutalizing Nazeem and Preston in various in game and modded ways are funnee Bethesda community memes so people in the community don't want to consider that some of the people doing the 'obliterating Nazeem with the enhanced gore mod' video posts they laughed at might be the same people who created or downloaded the Nazeem lynching mod
