JT: My daughter did something cute.
Hakim: I saw the grossest thing at the hospital today.
Yugopnik: Hey have you guys tried alcohol.

edit: it's a youtube link, I realize now it seems like a link to a picture of a boob :shrug-outta-hecks:
Episode 1: "episode one is a podcast where every episode is the first episode of a different podcast. we want to authentically simulate the bird brain experience. it is a mostly improvised character-based comedy podcast where we try to make each other laugh"
Beef and Dairy Network Podcast: It's a surreal/absurdist comedy show in the style of like a bbc special interest piece. Most episodes are around 30 minutes.
Omg nooo
lol I do like their Steven Seagal video though. Plus a few others uploaded on ClangersTV. I avoid like all other Cumtown videos.
There's some amazing bits in there amongst all the filth and immaturity. The one that got me listening to clips on YouTube was the Woke Italian Mobsters
Tony They/Themonato sends their regards
Kill James Bond is what got me to watch my first James Bond movie. I wanted to see how bad the yellow facing was.
Is Human Insects about an anime? I watch very little anime.
lol i'm halfway through the 7 hour human insects episode. i didnt know i could be so calmed listening to people talk about jrpgs i am never going to play
If you like that, hazel's youtube channel is also quite awesome: https://www.youtube.com/@hhhazel
the only podcasts i listen to that aren't incredibly depressing are art/pop culture analysis.
kill james bond, dogs must die, homestuck made this world and just king things, great gundam project and your uncles beach house, a more civilized age, the episodes of the shriekcast that don't talk too much about jkr (especially everything post harry potter) are all pretty lighthearted mostly
all have a fair amount of analysis and hot takes. on the lots of analysis side you have homestuck made this world and a more civilized age (the latter of which regularly cites marx) on the less analysis you have dogs must die and the early episodes of the great gundam project
Dogs must die is probably my favorite Chip and Ironicus project since Metal Gear Solid 5.
Boonta vista is great. Chill vibes, stay away from politics (mostly) because they used to be a political show and got burned out.
I think I’ve taken permanent psychic damage from the this cold open though: https://youtu.be/4CrH3BsccpU
I knew exactly which one it would be before clicking because I, too, have brain damage
My blood is slow now~
I was legitimately impressed at the amount of effort Theo put into that. I was blindsided by it. I was listening at work. I do not recommend encountering cognito-hazards while surrounded by other people.
Hell yeah, congrats on resisting the urge to immediately send them to the train episode. Any episode with a shipping report is good vibes though.
Stav needs to get Rich Evans on his podcast and do an entire episode that is just them laughing
Everytime I hear Stav laugh I imagine him transforming into Salacious Crumb.
I'm not sure how you would know, since every time Rich Evans laughs he gets drowned out by the cackling of an old witch who is stirring a sinister cauldron of black magick, just out of frame
Came here for this and the orbit of other improv /humor podcasts.
The Neighborhood Listen - the hosts and guest spoof real Nextdoor posts of ridiculous suburbanites.
The Doughboys - they review fast food restaurants but know the premise is insane but also approach it sincerely . May have also been a suicide pact as they destroy their bodies with greasy food. Nick Wiger is likely a comrade.
Get Played - started as a spoof of "How Did This Get Made" (with endorsement from those hosts) but for terrible games. But they quickly realized bad games are much more miserable being locked in for more than 2 hrs a movie would be. Nick Wiger cohosts this one as well.
Hollywood Handbook - hard to explain other than frantic antagonism (but it's a long term bit from the hosts)
I'll check those out!
Have you watched Painting/Fishing with John? It's not a podcast
Alan Alda's "Clear + Vivid".
I hope that when I am 86 years old I am as relaxed, and as hungry for personal growth, as Alda appears to be.
Hello from the Magic Tavern almost always makes me actually laugh. It's just a straight hour of stupid improv in a fantasy setting.
