I like how they're all supposed to have their own font and character name, like each one of them is a "brand" targeting audiences for a fanbase that can be sold for sponsorships and advertising.

The official suit reason for no new F-Zero was supposedly that there was no way to make the game "innovative" enough for a new console.
That doesn't stop them from churning out endless Mario Kart sequels and additional :lonk: though.
And the attempt to "innovate" in Star Fox Zero resulted in a silly targeting system almost no one liked attached to a rehash of SF64 (that had an admittedly great intro movie).

I've posted here about Redout before and hope more people pick up on it! I've kinda burnt myself out on RO2 until new content drops, but for the 50+ hours I played, it was a blast!
Jet/rocket powered hovering race cars going over Mach 1 and using aerodynamics to steer is such a cool concept.
Why did no other game developers try out this idea?
