    Early on in the conflict, a bunch of redditors got together and decided to enlist in the Ukrainian Army

    They had their passports stolen from them and were basically shoved into combat as human shields

    Then their camp got fucked up by the Russians because they couldn't stop posting about how cool it was to be in a war and the Russians traced their online activity to the campsite

    It's all pretty good stuff for encouraging people to fight for your side, y'know?

        They didn’t even make it 50 miles from the border with Poland. Russia hit the barracks with a missile strike within about a week of it making headlines. Suddenly, no more headlines about Ukraines legendary “foreign legion”
