Didn't think "Men would rather sign up for war than go to therapy." would also apply to women.

Honestly surprised people keep volunteering after the stories of the 420th Reddit Brigade came out

Early on in the conflict, a bunch of redditors got together and decided to enlist in the Ukrainian Army

They had their passports stolen from them and were basically shoved into combat as human shields

Then their camp got fucked up by the Russians because they couldn't stop posting about how cool it was to be in a war and the Russians traced their online activity to the campsite

It's all pretty good stuff for encouraging people to fight for your side, y'know?

They didn’t even make it 50 miles from the border with Poland. Russia hit the barracks with a missile strike within about a week of it making headlines. Suddenly, no more headlines about Ukraines legendary “foreign legion”

    All the dunk_tank stuff aside

I think an interesting thing brought up in that thread was that her streaming revenue can dry up over night due to RP server drama, that's pretty wild to think about.

Loss of Gamer Pride(tm) leads us to do strange things, I know everytime I get drop shot in Call of Duty by a 12 year old Andrew Tate stan who is high on energy drinks I feel the urge to go off to Ukraine to be used as sniper bait by some Ukrainian militia with a name like Badass Battalion

For real why can't they just half-yell "fuckin A!" to themselves and then take a long bong hit afterwards like the rest of us? I wonder how much the possible clout played into her decision. probs a lot given what these streamer-types are like

    Read to die instantly

While it seems very selfish to say, it’s very hard to break from the comfort of a full time job that you love ("find a job you love and you'll never work a day in your life" as they say) to go help people in a land that isn’t yours. And I took way too fucking long to make this decision. That got a whole lot easier when I lost significantly more than half of my income when I was removed from everything in the NoPixel PD very suddenly- by what I was told was a majority vote from High Command- not a snap decision from Koil or staff, despite what some drama hungry people would wish the case to be. Staff are wonderful, as are the admin and dev teams, and the public only sees a fraction of the work and effort they put in on a daily basis.

To be clear- this decision was not at all financially motivated, but that sudden snapping away of financial security and reliability of playing Vale full time allowed me to re-align my priorities to shit that actually matters and stop trying to please people who don’t have the stomach to say they have an issue with me to my face.

What’s the over/under on how many days it takes for a cop roleplay twitch streamer to doxx himself in Ukraine and eat a shahed?

a GTA RP server sounds so weird/lame to me, but to RP as a cop and quit when being demoted for being too aggressive is just insane to me.

the more I read about this person and the things they value, the more I think "what a complete fucking loser".

I couldn't even watch like 10 seconds of that weird in game ceremony with all these cops in different cop gear and like crying and shit. it's too deranged and stupid and pathetic.

and then to leave that and volunteer to go to a warzone against an actual modern military force... this is a person without any understanding of reality or consequences.

ARMA's Takistan Life mod was brilliant. You could be a cop, soldier, insurgent, or civilian. The cops were typically little Kyle Rittenhouse clones who took it extremely seriously. Meanwhile the insurgents could buy an automatic shotgun and anti-air tank, both of which could flatten an entire checkpoint from a distance.

They were so mad that they achieved anti-enlightenment.
