The amount of stimulation they expose themselves to is wild. It starts with a video, but there's an overlayed audio clip referencing another meme, then there's text over the video, in the corner there's a "live react" webcam of someone watching the main content, and there's a smashcut every 2 seconds so you can't keep track of what's going on, and as soon as it ends, it autoplays the next video, which is some teenage girl in volleyball shorts doing a vulgar dance. Oh and it's all played at 2x speed
It has probably been successful specifically because it's too fast, causing people to watch it multiple times and telling the algorithm they have high interest in it.
When the leftist meme text block is actually beating the algos. Holy shit is that why the CIA and news media are agaisnt tiktok now cuss they see a bunch of leftist shit on there!?
Or it's too fast to really teach anything explicitly leftist and is getting traction with general audiences who have largely incoherent or fascist/ancap beliefs and readily agree with the general "government bad" vibes they get from the video without digging any further.
This, I was lucky enough to have been highschool to college with the creation of Vine, and had been a gradeschooler to middleschooler during YouTube video memes first arising. Watching traditional news is fucking torture to me, not to mention 90% of news being regurgitated shit boomers watch of reactionaries repeating a screed ad nuaseum. Anything that isn't a speed vid or quick read with periods of pausing are talks with Parenti or Chris Hedges playing in the background that helps to vibe me out.
That was dope but way too fast is this how zoomers consume all their media? I don't have tiktok

Previous generations just wrote increasingly obscurantist texts to pass the "peer review" algorithm

I do not encourage generational discourse, but zoomers watch shit at 2x speed because they are little media consumption gremlins.
