    I can very easily imagine a photo of a bunch of white Americans dressed in Chinese clothing for a wedding being mercilessly dunked on here

      I can very easily imagine a photo of a bunch of white Americans dressed in khakis and polos for a wedding being mercilessly dunked on here. The bar for dunking is low.

      I 100% saw this on this site last year. We need to understand that engaging in other cultures, and even transforming them, is cool, not cringe.

      Yes, cultural appropriation is a problem, but only when you're grossly misunderstanding or cheapening culture, typically deliberately for personal gain and/or profit.
