Rumors say he also designed the trap doors so they'd be too small for the perpetrator to fall through so most of them also hit their face on the edge as they fell

    Honorable mentions:

    Show

source: from the Nuremberg prosecutor Ben Ferencz

    Show

that clip's from right before his death, but earlier in his life he said

"I watched it happen and did nothing. It was not my duty to stop it, even if I could have, and frankly, I was not inclined to try. There seemed to be no limit to human brutality in wartime. I headed back to Munich to write my reports." -Benjamin B. Ferencz

At the end of The Saboteur as you ascend the Eiffel Tower in pursuit of your quarry, there is a Nazi officer plunking away at a piano

He will play as Paris burns in the night, the partisans routing the Nazis at every turn

He won't get up, he won't try to do anything

I always shoot him in the back of the head

There’s an account of FDR joking about executing tens of thousands of Nazi officers, and Stalin joked back about how that’s too little and they should increase it by like 3 times.

And Churchill was just yelling and getting so angry that either Stalin or FDR pulled him aside and said “you know we’re just messing around right?”

I can’t stop imagining Churchill was in the corner alone, just red and flailing his arms yelling incoherently. Looking like pronounjak-rage pronouns

Fascists barely deserve any sort of ceremony to their death. They treat people as objects, why should we give them anything other than a bullet and an unmarked grave? They get to see that they too are not so special.

Like the Soviets filling up truck beds with Nazis, putting nooses on all of them, and then just driving the truck forward. Done and done.

Nope, that's still a specialized execution method. Don't give them anything to cry crocodile tears about generations later. Tear them apart where they stand- this isn't about making us feel better, this is about ending an existential threat.

Fuck, I wouldn't even dig a hole. Let the vultures and coyotes rip them to shreds.

    also about Mr. Woods:

He only got the job by lying about his previous experience as an executioner in Texas

It would have taken about 3 minutes to figure out those claims were false as there hadn't been a hanging in Texas since John was born

Either the army didn't bother to check his resume or they did and didn't care that he had no experience

Slow hanging (purposeful) was one of the favourite execution method of nazis too, just they took it even longer since they were making pauses. So those ones got away easily, deserved worse.

He didn't do it because the Nazis deserved it. He was just a drunk who was bad at a job that nobody else wanted.
