That's actually a point I've been thinking about a lot but, to be honest, I've never seen a time when we were cheering at average Americans suffering, like during floods/outages/pandemics/etc. Most of the indignation present was directed towards the Bourgeois state itself which allowed it to happen. The times I do see the whole "Death to Amerikrakkkers" (ie, the people) bit flung about was frustration at Americans having shit political takes, on social media or on polls. Which isn't exactly harmless as you point out since it can breed outright misanthropic sentiments but it's not equivalent to these shitlibs mocking people for living in the "red" territories.
