You're giving the hogs too much credit. They ALSO think like half of America is subhuman (mostly the brown and black parts, but also a surprising amount of mayo-on-mayo dreams of violence).

They first said that they tracked it from launch and that they knew it was a spy balloon because of that, now they say that tracking it from launch shows it's a weather balloon. No words lmao. Only the US propaganda machine is capable of this shit talk.

So the first balloon was the massive one from China, the second one was a US weather balloon, now only the third, octagonal shaped one is in question.

Do you have a link to an article saying that they're now admitting it was a weather balloon? WSJ propaganda article says it's a spy balloon still.

the maoist uprising against the landlords was the largest and most comprehensive proletarian revolution in history, and led to almost totally-equal redistribution of land among the peasantry

And of course the correction won't have nearly the same coverage as the initial "EVIL CHINESE COMMUNIST WINNIE THE POOH SPY EMP NUKE BALLOON"

    Lie loudly and correct quietly

This new account suggests that the ensuing international crisis that has ratcheted up tensions between Washington and Beijing may have been at least partly the result of a mistake.

I'm pretty sure it only ratcheted up tensions in America, China's response was more along the lines of :jesse-wtf:

America should become an international quarantine zone and no one who lives there should be allowed to communicate with people outside so that no one else ever has to hear their smooth brained opinions on geopolitics again
