    This continues a trend where I fully support any modern day thing that gets described as a "witch trial," because every time I see it it's in the context of holding powerful, bad people even a tiny bit accountable for their actions.

        as far as I know, UK libel and slander laws are much more strict than most countries. Like "you aren't allowed to say a public figure was "drunk" unless you have a verified blood alcohol content test to back it up" level of strictness. So JKR is basically sending out legal threats to any British person who tweets something mean at her
