Urban environments are not loud. Cars are loud. In an NYC-dense city without car infrastructure you can just go right ahead and have a roughly normal talking level conversation with someone 1-2 entire city blocks away and make out what they're saying just fine.
I'm aware that cars are the biggest contributors, but if they're putting pickleball and cars in the same list then clearly their version of loud is a bit skewed.
I may not have worded my comment clearly. I’m not saying I think pickleball is too loud, I’m saying the people complaining about pickleball specifically are dumb when the other things on my list are louder and more common.
