lmao redditors getting mad over people playing outside.
Suburb brain really is a disease. As a species we weren't meant to live in total quiet and privacy.
Oh yeah the images are, I was responding to the comments in the Reddit thread which have a lot of people complaining about it earnestly.
If pickleball is too loud fucking everything is too loud. Basketball courts, skate parks ,cars, the god damn airport
Put on headphones comrade, urban environments just tend to be that way
Urban environments are not loud. Cars are loud. In an NYC-dense city without car infrastructure you can just go right ahead and have a roughly normal talking level conversation with someone 1-2 entire city blocks away and make out what they're saying just fine.
I'm aware that cars are the biggest contributors, but if they're putting pickleball and cars in the same list then clearly their version of loud is a bit skewed.
I may not have worded my comment clearly. I’m not saying I think pickleball is too loud, I’m saying the people complaining about pickleball specifically are dumb when the other things on my list are louder and more common.
The dorks complaining should get some headphones or something I agree
Lmao okay, I was about to say that some of those things are definitely not on the level of others. Cars and trucks are 1000x louder than any human level activity
I'm pro pickles, pro balls, and pro pickleball, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, jack :biden-point:
Pickle ball is fun as shit. I play with the old people sometimes, I'm younger and can run faster but they are much more skilled then I am at getting the ball where they want it to go so it's fairly even. That reminds me, just another month or so till all the snow is gone and I can go play pickleball again :)
That sounds fun af! True skills vs athleticism matchup going on right there
I've heard too many stories of old people tearing a tendon playing pickleball to play against them haha. I've been told by others to never try to lob against elderly since they may harm themselves trying to reach it
I also play pickleball like it's a giant table tennis so I generate stupid amounts of spin and have already broken the ankles (In the NBA sense) of a zoomer friend :yikes-3:
huh, i thought this was an Atomic Heart screenshot for a second
louder, less gate-keepy tennis for people who cant/dont like to run.
