Here’s a crazy bit of movie news that is going to strike a nerve with a lot of Lord of the Rings fans. New Line Cinema and Warner Bros Pictures are partnering up Embracer Group AB’s Middle-Earth Enterprises with a new multi-year deal to develop a series of new The Lord of the Rings movies!?

But there's no way this will be better than the Jackson films. And they probably won't do Tom. It would be wild if they made Two Towers and Return of the King more faithful to the books in that the battle sequences are very short. But I doubt that.

New Line and Warner Bros Animation are currently in production on the anime film, The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, the story of which is set 183 years before the events in The Lord of the Rings. The movie, which tells the fate of the House of Helm Hammerhand, the legendary King of Rohan, is set to open theatrically on April 12, 2024.

This, however, I am really into. The only way to accurately depict Helm Hammerhand is with an anime. Beating orcs in the snows with his bare hands for days on end is anime material.
