Yes, yes, I know Berserk borrowed pretty heavy from Catholicism with the inquisition and gnosticism with the fictional religion of midland pretty much worshiping the devil. But you can lift it and apply it to america and it's christians.

This got me thinking that Trump guy the other day boasting about tricking homeless people into getting arrested, 100% he believes in god (mammon) and prays.

Yup, 100%. Evangelicals worship Mammon and pop culture versions of Satan without a whiff of self awareness or self doubt. It is a literal religion of evil that most authors would consider too on the nose for fiction. The whole history of it is bizarre; christianity shorn of anything positive so that southern slavers could use it for control without any risk of giving people ideas about liberation, which then mutated through awves of nativism, anti-communism, the satanic panic, in to the nightmare we face today.

Exactly what I was thinking yesterday when I saw that post but I couldn't my thoughts into words since it was bedtime for me. But yeah it's amazing how they can claim to be holier than thou and yet their evil knows no bounds, I guess shit hasn't changed all that much in hundreds of years.

    They are Satanists.

They see the Devil powerfully at work everywhere while God is weakly absent.

Truly, they are far more Satanic than the actual Church of Satan which doesn't even believe in Satan.
