tl;dr: capeshit/MCU/nerds/streaming killed sex in movie theaters.
I am of two minds on this. On the one hand not every movie needs a sex scene and I have seen more movies that could have done without. I dunno if Hollywood can do sex scenes well. It needs to be at least little silly or a little dirty. Either of which requires a level of artistry that I don't trust studio's to put in. I have been watching a bunch of old Mexican movies lately and it is really refreshing to it done differently
