    Damn, that is an amazing thread to use as an example of something I notice when liberals discuss politics with someone they disagree with.

    So many folks sliding in like, "Actually sweatie, you'll find that socialism is when the government does stuff. What you're talking about is evil, authoritarian comulism." Vividly apparent they know fuck all about communism, socialism and the connections between these two systems, but they'll be damned if they don't assert their guess over the words of someone that does.

    It's like, what's the phrase? mansplaining.

      Liberalism is having utter confidence in stuff you know nothing about and calling those who claim to or actually do know more, ignorant.

        I think it’s partly because a lot of them believe they are “educated” and they’ll tell you about it. If they can get a degree without ever hearing a critique of capitalism they assume one doesn’t exist because they would know if anyone did.

        Not ever considering their “education” may have left some stuff out

          This is extremely correct. I wish so badly that even 1% of American universities were the hotbeds of revolutionary thought the right pretends they are.
