I would posit it's because they don't have to do anything, they will have a soft existence and they know it, there is no sense of adversity or the triumph of overcoming it, and thus no meaning in their lives.
I still remember a scene from the office when Dwight calls Darryl, the blue collar union guy, a communist. And he replies with “yeah I’m a communist. I want to be in Denmark with free healthcare”
Bernie really wrecked a lot of Millenials' minds with that "Scandinavia = Socialism" thing. People still staunchly believe it even after all these years. It's at times like these I like to remind them that young people in Scandinavia feel stressed and miserable all the time.
