lol, I guess they mean The Nordics, which haven't even smelled like socialism for years. It was already a neoliberal hellhole when I moved 15-odd years ago.

I still remember a scene from the office when Dwight calls Darryl, the blue collar union guy, a communist. And he replies with “yeah I’m a communist. I want to be in Denmark with free healthcare”

Yeah but he popularized it bigtime. I heard it all the time in 2015-6. "Elect Bernie and we can have socialism just like they do!"

Like, its fine. If you want to peg yourself to the myth of Nordic Socialism in order to get motivated, fine, whatever.

If the socialists can fit liberation theology, scientific materialism, and Maoist Third worldism in the same tent, it can fit the guys who think Sweden solved world hunger.

Idk man, there were some strikes at a car company that the Swedes and Indians participated in and the Swedes didn't give a single shout-out of support to the Indians

They'll stop the moment they get theirs

I'm not sure what this is referring to exactly, but this sort of thing always feels like a "way too little information to even begin to pass judgement" claim. If they stood in solidarity, that seems like a win in its own right. Failing a sufficiently visible genuflection at the end is incidental.

Socialism is when the government does stuff, and the more stuff it does the more socialist it is.

We will simply vote away the ghoulish corporations and bought out politicians my good sir! Nothing will stand in our way, not even the Supreme Court!
