This creepy fuck popped into my head. I remember renting DOA 2 with a friend of mine for a sleepover at his house. MF'er lived deep in the woods and it was pitch black at night. This scary fuck comes on the screen raving about the world being it's delusion and all of a sudden you're fighting.

Very intense for the boob jiggling horny fighting game.

it's hard to pick between Yves omelette du fromage, Bobby Kotick, or the EA guy who went ham with the gambling.

oh you mean characters, uh i guess anything where a game with mechanical depth turns into mindless QTE shit instead of something interesting.

even better, qte's where the rebinds dont get displayed properly so you have to do the fight 20 times to figure out what button 'mous....' is

(this is directed at the Witcher 2)

Is that the one where you return to Belvelle? I was always stuck on that and the other big boss at that part of the game back in the day.

No the fight on mount Gagazet. The one where he just one-shots party members.

I did manage to make it through him, but I got super mad a few years later when I found out you can just cheese him with a handful of phoenix downs.

god he took me so many tries that watching someone attempt the fight made me realize I wore an extremely deep groove into my brain. my shoulder twitches every time you have to dodge two fucking years later.

does he actually input read, though? I remember baiting him with spacing to consistently get free hits and then dying because I got greedy and went in for just one more with a large club that locks you into a swing for an eternity. if you run to the far side of the arena from him, he does the slow, heavily telegraphed flying attack eventually so you dodge under him, let him do a combo in the wrong direction with just enough space that he can't do the reverse claw/tail swipe thing, watch for his shoulders to relax, immediately jump attack and dodge again as soon as you connect, and break for the opposite side of the arena to rinse and repeat. he always looks like he's open to one more swing and he will get you if you fall for it.

so I think what he does is entirely in relation to where you are relative to him? dunno though, I wouldn't put it past them to cheat the difficulty. I'm really bad at reading tells and reacting fast enough so I had to come up with safe strats like that for every fight and just gave up on the game because fuck doing that much work to play a game.

I mean, all game enemies technically read inputs, but what was especially annoying about this character is that he has attack chains that specifically wait for you to do inputs like attack or dodge before he launches his attack, like in here 'https://v.redd.it/qrpsnj3s2e9b1' where he holds his staff up waiting for PC to do something.

Anyways, all the bosses in this game felt super cheaty like that.

I'm one of the few weirdos who actually loves Demon of Hatred. For whatever reason his tells are just so much more legible to me than just about any other Sekiro boss and I like the rhythm of the fight. Also, you can parry him a surprising amount! Parrying his stomps feels awesome once you figure out the timing. He definitely has some really, really bullshit moves, but I've found that if you're right up in his crotch he almost never uses the extreme bullshit moves. It's still a very long fight and when you die halfway through his third health bar it fucking suuuuucks, but I dunno, overall I really like the fight!

Soulsburgers must agree that bed of chaos is disappointing on my first playthrough it took me at least 30 attempts, very annoying boss with the weirdest most tedious way to get to it, takes like 1 minute and a bit just to get to it only for me to die once I enter the arena.

Personal choice is Sif the wolf

I think it was a combination of that youthful gamer-goblin brain and something about the animation of those games still really feel satisfying. Gamer-brain really pushed me to that weird "I am a man you a machine, you will not best me!" and the animation was just so damn slick. Fun game and a good game, but goddamn it was tough one. Even knowing the tips and tricks I don't think I could do it today.

Yeah I feel you on that. As I've gotten older my skill with games has plummeted, nowadays rpgs and mmorpgs are more my speed.
