In the recurring American civil war sketch in episode 2 Ulysses Grant travels to West Virginia. All the jokes & conflict then depend on West Virginia being in the Confederacy when it was in fact it never was.
Just seemed like a weird thing to get wrong, even though I know the whole point of the show it to tell silly jokes.
It's just crapping on West Virginia because of all the Appalachian hillbillies who live there. Coal miners, racists, KKK, etc.
