Meh. I'd rather watch a sci fi show written by people who feel comfortable ripping off Le Guin than a sci fi show written by people who have never read Le Guin.
Yeah one of the ongoing discussions in sci-fi is how nearly everything is derivative of something already written. At least this is derivative of something good.
