Reminder that it will just regurgitate whatever information it has been trained on. The training data for ChatGPT is going to be mainstream western media, since that is what its trainers trust.
We really need to be training our own chatbot on things like theory, soviet archives, non-capitalist media, etc. No one reads anymore, but if you could ask it about hot topics like "Holodomor" or "Tiananmen Square" and get a proper (non-western) summary of events, it would be hugely powerful.
I just selfishly want something to help me argue online. Like I you could just say, "hey, tell me why this bit of propaganda is bullshit ctrl+v", and get back a bulleted list of counter arguments based on theory... we'd be unstoppable. It's too hard to find real sources and things on Google anymore.

Te target consumer base for ChatGPT is what, things like advertisers or scummy for-profit education companies? The programmers probably want to sell the AI as being neutral and inoffensive as possible from a western liberal perspective because that's the point of it, to make money for ghouls
I think this was the true fear of Musk because crap-it-all-ism is illogical, exploitative, and dangerous to the survival of the human race.
Musk unleashed the fascists on twitter to seed his new A.I. X project to "save" crap-it-all-ism or in his mind "save the world". At the same time he has a brain chip that is aiming to effect memory, thoughts, and actions.
Imagine crap-it-all-ists gatekeeping info from these chips to protect itself from reform or revolution.
Now that I know about pol face I see flashes of it everywhere, hidden in plain sight, but in places that, on reflection, it absolutely tracks that they would be.
