I think they're just cynically playing the game; they know this, they can see these people donate to both conservative and liberal groups. I refuse to believe these careerists are dumb enough to think otherwise when the info is so obviously present.

They're banking on the average voter falling for the tried and true liberal gambit of "well we would have tried this but we can't now because checks card donors and lobbyists that should have been with us exclusively aren't!"
