      First is the amazing level of leftwing activist energy and organizing effort coming out of Minneapolis. Second is the ability of the Democratic Farmer Labor party to actually function as a coherent political party and vent that energy into concessions.

      While the first point is impressive its not unique. Other cities of the US can produce comparable leftwing energy but local democrats would either squander it or actively stomp it out. I dont think theres anything like the DFL anywhere else in the US.
