There definitely is a section of men who look down on women who believe in astrology tbf, but I think on this site we can assume good faith. Astrology is stupid regardless of who believes in it
I'm on the anti-astrology side, but this isn't a good counter any more than "I hate white rappers too, so my hating rap can't be racist" is. There is no contradiction in hating something associated with women on a misogynistic basis and also hating men who like it.
there's a fair point to "people who just seem to hate it and believe a ton of other weird shit probably just hate women" but people do sometimes go too fair into actually defending it. Like, I talk about it for shits and giggles with my friends and most of my fraught romantic life weirdly maps onto the compatibility charts, but I'd drop it in a heartbeat if that was the party line. Right now it's just nonsense that doesn't matter, for the most part.
I dunno about believers but there's a contingent that says "since astrology is more popular with women than men, criticizing it is misogyny"
