My bet is a 22 year old Jesuit, with extensive legal experience in avoiding prosecution for child molestation. Matthew Walther is a strong runner-up.

As a legitimate guess, my mom mentioned the current AG of Kentucky, known for challenging the Democratic governor's corona measures and refusing to prosecute the Louisville killer cops. He's a protege and possible designated successor of Mitch, and had no legal experience before becoming AG. He's actually on the shorlist. But let's be honest, he's only getting in as Clarence Thomas's replacement.

AGs who refuse to prosecute cops, etc, may be more useful as AGs in the GOP's eyes than on SCOTUS.

It's Kentucky, so it would be trivial for them to replace him. Republicans can reliably win any statewide election under ordinary circumstance. The only reason we have a Democratic governor atm is because Bevin tried to steal people's pensions and became extremely hated.
