      I went to see the band panchiko with my buddy and she had bought the tickets so I said I’ll buy some drinks. I was like oh just to start things off I’ll get two cans 12 oz cans of spiked seltzer. My man hands me the receipt and it was $38.

      Oh oh and also in spite of the soaring prices a lot of bands can’t even afford to go on tour anymore it’s not making them enough money even with sold out shows there was a time in the 90s when small time bands no one heard of could tour the country and stay solvent now bands with whole ass Wikipedia pages and critically acclaimed albums like animal collective have been cancelling tours because it’s too expensive

        this is the real strat. pre-gaming & bringing a bunch of airplane bottles into a venue is what my friends usually do and surprisingly not once has anyone doing security at any of the dozens of places we've seen shows at has ever taken them out of their bag (or my pockets the few times someone's not had the space in their bag and I had to carry their 300ml of vodka in for them).
