In Illinois you apparently need to have a valid and registered gun owner identification card to legally own a firearm, this guys card was revoked for unspecified reasons, so he's charged with owning a gun without his license.
Also reckless discharge of a firearm, which idk what specifically that legally is defined as but shooting in your sleep seems like it would count.
How can you be reckless when you're not even in control of your body
