God fucking dammit. This article is pure rage bait from start to finish.

Indeed, domestic issues matter less and less the more interconnected the world gets — and it’s getting exponentially more interconnected as time marches on. This, in turn, decreases the relevance of a president’s political party and increases the importance of a president’s competence. Far better to get the culture wars wrong but get China right than vice versa. Same with taxation: Better to tilt the code a little more toward the rich if it means we also get smarter regulations protecting humanity from the downside of artificial intelligence. Appoint conservative judges all day long if it means America’s international effectiveness and leadership improves.

You (the article author, Politics Understander William Cooper) can only hold these opinions if "domestic issues" don't affect your life because you're a privileged douchebag. "Culture wars" are not abstract ideological battles, they actually affect real people in real ways, doofus.

Broke: aoc-rashida Vote for DSA candidates to achieve incremental change over time

Woke: maybe-later-kiddo Vote for Joe Biden or America will become fascist!

Bespoke: desantis-beta-walk DeSantis is boring and stiff. He’s mean. He’s as likable as a stinky sock. And he’s on the wrong side of numerous important policy debates — from immigration, to taxes, to judicial appointments. But unlike Biden and Trump, DeSantis passes the litmus test. He’s very competent.

lol, they're still pretending that "competence" matters at all, just like when Hillary ate shit despite all her "competence". cheeto-man was president for four years and has a good chance of four more years, that should be the final nail for that argument. He doesn't care about the Supreme Court or domestic issues because they don't affect him as a (presumably) straight white man.

It's not like DeSantis is doing well in the polls, either. At best he'll be the last one to drop out in that field of loser Republicans.

Cannot find this author's information anywhere. Supposedly he wrote an anti-trump book but there's other authors of the same name. Is it even a real person?

so-true He makes the trains run on time adds enough lanes to the highway (and allows me to run over anything that may block my car!)
