I think that was the plan from the beginning, but she's too much of an unlikeable and mercurial freakbomb. there have been multiple stories of "shakeups" on her staff seeming to point to her being atrocious to people who aren't sycophants.

Yeah it seems like Klobuchar would have been the much better option for the Dems, had she not been directly linked to Derek Chauvin being able to kill George Floyd from acquitting him on a previous abuse of power he had done. I must stress when I say better, I'm not saying that she's morally better, or not a complete sociopath. But just saying for the Dems it might be better for them (winning and staying in power for multiple elections) to have an ambitious duck killer waiting in the wings whose ready to put a pillow on Joe's face and assume the presidency than Kamala.
