He wants credit for it so badly, too. But his base boos him if he tries to take credit for the vaccines, so he just lets it go unannounced, which is visually unbearable to him
He wants to have his cake and eat it. Operation Warp Speed was genuinely good policy, and it would be one hell of a legacy for any normal president, but he also has a base of Nurgle cultists.
