          There's nothing stopping me from being one of those guys, but for bugs on the level of influence that skiing is to Tribes, instead of something like an item dupe glitch or damage exploit or a pixel nazi armband

      They really are. I made the mistake of engaging with the battlebit discord and aside from the usual heated-gamer-moment gamer moments heated-gamer-moment every complaint was people refusing to learn or use game mechanics and asking for changes so they could play the game alone, like how toddlers play next to each other but don't play with each other.
