I made the mistake of engaging with the battlebit discord and aside from the usual gamer moments every complaint was people refusing to learn or use game mechanics and asking for changes so they could play the game alone, like how toddlers play next to each other but don't play with each other.
One dude in the replies is saying they should give refunds to people who 'bought a different game'. Gamers are absolute fucking babies.

In fairness Stellaris actually did change pretty dramatically since launch.
