Agreed. New Enlgand is where you want to be. There's also this strange thing in rural areas that people, regardless of their ideology and identity, tend to take care of one another. It's like every conservative with a non-cis-het-white neighbor/friend just believes that they only know "the good ones".

It's when you are an outsider of minority identity that things get rough.
