Best comment is "I think you mean Neoliberalism."

Worst is "Anyone who says the US is being an idiot"

lol this is mostly just a classic dictatorship of the bourgeoisie

regime has no consistent political ideology like fascism or communism, ruling elite is solely interested in keeping themselves in power for as long as possible regardless of what happens to everyone else (if being far right will keep them in power they will do it. If being far left will, they will do that too. Only power matters.)

What having no class analysis does to a mf. Ideology is simply how class interests manifest. The only reason your ruling class would not appear to have an ideology is because their ideology is already hegemonic and unchallenged. And this ruling class cannot simply "be far left" to stay in power if they had to. Government officials are either explicit members of the ruling class (in America, we have plenty of capitalists in congress) or representatives of the ruling class that stand to gain something (bribes lobbying & future well-paying easy job opportunities). The far left wants to abolish private property, money, etc. It is completely anathema to the ruling class. This person probably thinks far-left means a basic income lol.

Top comment: Mexico, British-controlled India, Russia

MFer gave three examples and not one of them matches what the OP described.

-lacks a conventional cult of personality:no statues, portraits, propaganda songs etc. or any of the standard stuff that most dictatorships have

Only one that arguably doesn't fit the US. There's a cult of personality around founding fathers and pro-cop or pro-military propaganda is pervasive.

I would like to say while neoliberalism does kinda fit, the requirements do eerily sound like Jews (insert group of your choice, i.e. lizard people) control the world and don't care for the people-vibes. Though some aspects are fascist and a good deal are neoliberal.
