I hate that this is the so-called extreme position to have on treating covid.

If it were me, the country would be locked down, the police and military would be mobilized to help deliver goods to people who need it medical supplies food etc and make sure no one is breaking lockdown. There would be new hospitals built, new medical staff offered free training and hazard pay, and the nationalization of essential services, the seizing of billionaires' extra fuck you money if funding runs low. Condemnation of countries that don't do the same as the genocidal ghouls they are. Aid for countries that want to but are too fucked from exploitation.

The extreme COVID position is letting it rip, killing and disabling countless millions of people, normalizing that mass death and suffering, and then gaslighting and pathologizing anyone who still acknowledges the ongoing dangers of COVID and still takes precautions.

The thing is, if that were done from February to May of 2020, then the whole pandemic would have been stymied right there. It would have saved many more lives and been exponentially less costly.

Sure would’ve. But we’re not there anymore, and that doesn’t mean it should be ignored, it just means it’s a lot more expensive.

I want someone to take over and act like covid appeared today, and be rightly horrified. Act like we just discovered it and we’re not gonna rest until it’s joined smallpox
