Watching the past few years of "resistance" theatrics being constantly followed up by raising Trump's military budget and expanding surveillance powers and the like is what made me finally and completely give up any notion that the Dems are interested in anything that would help people. When McConnell inevitably rams through a nominee in the next few weeks while Pelosi maybe complains a little bit, I'd bet at least a few libs will start to realize the system is irredeemable.
the failure here is that they believe that if they just vote and get the presidency they will fix it and not like just make them the norm
