probably one of the oddest thing's I've said yet, but he should really focus on the Israelis since they're more of an urgent and immediate concern.

My guess is Hezbollah is fucking up or something and needs culture war stuff to get more votes. Also the global wave of homophobia making every reactionary frothingfash . And also capitalism collapsing is leading to reactionary beliefs to explain why it is collapsing.

I also am lead to believe that anti-LGBTQ+ has been folded into anti-americanism, adding it to become part of the false dichotomy of in the world of "good western states" and "evil states" / imperialist states vs the rest of the world. The question of which came first, that is to say whether its a result of the western powers first weaponizing the LGBTQ+ question as a bludgeon against the states it's in opposition to - or the inverse to it, would be akin to asking whether the chicken egg or the chicken itself came first.

Obviously the egg came first, and in my opinion, the western powers weaponizing human rights was what has created this virulent reaction to it in the first place.

From what I have gathered and heard about the anti-LGBTQIA+ things in socialist nations during the Cold War. Is that one of the main rationals for at least the parties was because LGBTQIA+ folks and specifically the "lifestyles" they were thought to live were defaultly bourgeois. Which was even brought up in at least one episode of Behind the Bastards, as possibly being the result of the unfortunate situations where very bad imperialists were likely to be homosexual. They were really only allowed by the other imperialists to be more open about their sexuality or even just really eccentric kinks (which for the cis imperialists would also lump in as being just part of homosexuality in their bigoted headspaces) because they were willing to be more ruthless. They paid their dues to their own masters, and were then more or less able to just do whatever they wanted. They also were able to live much more grandiose lifestyles and flaunt all of it above the oppressed.

Between the massive and open oppression and the very bougie wealthy lifestyles, it isn't shocking that this (along with I am sure plenty of taught bigotry from religion and machismo) would lead to incorrect understanding that LGBTQIA+ folks are bourgeois and/or imperialists. The USSR under Lenin did have some good starting points for breaking with that misconception. But even leftists fail themselves and the masses when we don't remember that liberation means all of us. The creep of conservatism into the struggle is reactionary IMO and holds us back in the same way that liberals have held back on civil rights on so many occasions. The constant lines of "I of course agree and support your right to be treated equal, but I just don't think now is the right time to push as others aren't ready" comes to mind. Always waiting for the push to be a sure thing before standing in solidarity.

It has been very inspiring to see that the existing socialist nations are learning to push past the old understandings. And especially so when openly saying that they were wrong and make efforts to make things as correct as possible. I am just a cis-ally but do have many close friends, family, and comrades that are LGBTQIA+. Seeing how they have gone from hiding from the world to being open and proud in my time so far makes me never want to see them pushed back down or harmed in any way. I am down to stand with them in solidarity and love no matter what. Seeing leaders like Castro outright say how wrong they were in their suppression makes me respect them and hope for a better future under socialism. The liberals can talk all the "hear and see you" shit and put up their pretend support flags, but they are the ones that keep allowing the far-right to keep coming back with their reactionary bigotry. Never pushing for anything unless they are 100% sure that at least 85% of the nation is already onboard. Not there with the ones that need the solidarity or any kind of mutual-aid. Conservatism is what builds and breeds reactionary bigotry and fascism. I hope that we all in the real left are able to keep pushing on and are able to flip more people faster. It will only get harder as the right is gaining their numbers as the global capitalist system breaks the world around us. Along with the mass apathy being spread by those that refuse to bother trying after being let down by liberals time and time again.

Then the Axis of al Quds collapses and the extermination of the Palestinian people by the zionist entity goes unimpeded. Pretty much every single major player in the axis, be it Assad or Nasrallah or Khamenei, are homophobes on some level. Hell, most of the Palestinian armed groups like Hamas and PIJ are also homophobic. Literally nobody involved in the struggle towards Palestinian self-determination outside of the PFLP isn't homophobic. However, thanks to the machinations of Mossad, the PFLP is no longer the dominant Palestinian faction, so the Palestinians have to rely on Hamas and PIJ.

i hate how no matter who we critically support on this shitty ass planet there's always something funky and reactionary going on. Support the "left" in the imperial core? They do imperialism. Support the "left" in the imperial periphery? They do LGBTphobia. Yada yada "don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good" but we're not liberals. Bigotry is as non-negotiable as capitalism.

Yeah shit is a complete nonstarter when you're queer like me, want my support? Then how about your value the lives of your would be comrades. The same type of shit is why I don't support Russia's current government. Their reactionary homophobic shit is fucked.

Tbf they will say the exact same thing, the left in America is impotent, they are really concerned about putting down a bourgeois led revolt in the major cities.

Hate to break it to you, but historically homophobia really isn’t a left right issue, chauvinism is strong everywhere. We were just lucky that gay liberation got sucked into intersectionality. Sadly I will always think that if America had been able to maintain farmer-labor progressivism, they would have still been thrown under the bus as vice prevention turned into anti revisionism squads.

I think we need to beat into every leftists head that the west is not the epicenter of the lgbt movement, it wasn’t created here, it’s not strongest here, it’s not uniquely more tolerated here.

The global south is the true epicenter of the lgbt, if it wasn’t for the west doing a colonialism there would be gay pride parades in mecca right now and the majority of the population would be gay.

We? Nobody on this fucking site lives in Palestine. The only people that have a right to kill him are Palestinians, it’s really important that organizations handle their own shit so they don’t get co-opted by capital.

God damn! Critical support for Hezbollah but they really need an interfactional struggle to root out this fucking chud. Same thing with Putin and Russia. Like opposition to the west comes first but lgbtqa rights should be second on the list of things of political importance.

You could just support the communists in Lebanon and Palestine and just tactically ignore the likes of Hezbollah and hamas
