We're bad people and we exult in the misery of others. Seeing the fear in the eyes of liberals over the dread power of our posting creates a feeling of joy in the cinders of our hearts.
They just don't know how to parse irony-poisoned humour when its steeped in so self aware. They are only able to parse things when assuming people are either joking because something is a pun thread or completely and totally serious 100% of the time.
That's because they don't have a culture of their own. All they did was make a lemmy and import reddit culture to it. They've done absolutely nothing to create an actual community with any cohesion or loyalty to itself, they have nothing unique, they don't know what they're doing at all. They have not one single creative bone in their bodies.
If they took part in creating any unique community culture themselves they would be capable of understanding and vibing with unique community culture elsewhere, because you can recognise it.
I think we actually converted the spice agony in to the waters of life and came out the other side as post-ironic mother superiors with access to other-memory and space kung-fu.

Dread is the word that keeps coming to mind for me too, a lot of this Sorkinesque caterwauling is just a fig leaf to cover it. I just wanted to hang out in a nice community that values human life and prosperity, but apparently we're the Flying Dutchman of the lemmyverse, a spooky ghost ship full of shitposting dread pirates. Liberals at one of the largest lemmy instances did block our whole instance for anti communist reasons. This means they impede on our . It is also fun since they are much more lenient with criminal instances that serve nazi content or child pornography.
So yeah it is real drama, since libertarian bros, the large public and admins of dot world are three groups that did actions or are bound to react.
The first has to either defend us for free speech or argue that socialism is bad and we don't deserve an audience and platform.
The second is mostly unaware and they are the juicy bucket that is kept from us and we are kept from them, reducing the ability to exchange ideas and communication with them. It is basically a firewall against us in McCarty style, only done by individual US liberal admins.
The third is just anti communist.

lemmy.world admins did a very funny thing. They mimicked their true heroes, the Reddit admins, in making shit up, lying, and contradicting their own holy rules to ban a lefty group from participating on their platform.
The funniest part is that they did this preemptively, so they can't even point to any justification outside of a post here that said, "follow other instances' rules and play nice". They are very concerned by that post, lol.
the nerds at lemmy.world (that is the link, you can type it into your browser) decided to pre-emptively block us from federating with them before we ever got the chance to federate them. in that sense, it's legit. but no one here is taking it seriously because no one here wants to be federated with those losers anyway, we're just having fun
